Furnas Stew
One of the most popular dishes in São Miguel.

Tea
The Gorreana Tea Factory has been producing organic black, green, and orange pikoe teas since 1883, making it the only tea plantation in Europe.
You can visit the factory and see how they prepare the tea. It’s produced in the same way as it was 200 years ago.
Bolo Lêvedo
Originally made in the village of Furnas, it’s a type of bread made from a sweeter dough.
You can try it with jam, cheese, or even use it as a hamburger bun.
